At Woodend Primary School, we are proud of our Houses which acknowledge our local history and Indigenous links. Each House is represented by a local animal and is named in the Dja Dja Wurrung language for that animal. Our Houses have been running since 1978 and are part of the foundation of the school. All students are assigned to a House when they enrol at Woodend PS, students participate in House activities in physical education, learning and wellbeing throughout the year. They also earn points for their house as part of our School Wide Postive Behaviour program.
